My Exploration

Recently I acquired a Pentax 50mm 1.4 lens. This is a vintage lens with a really good reputation for its ability to create interesting images.
I impatiently awaited its arrival as I really wanted to see if I made the right choice.
I must admit, I immediately fall in love with it. Despite being a manual lens, it is very easy to use.
I used only selective focus with my aperture set to 1.4. I also used 36mm extension tube to get closer to my subjects.
My verdict
It’s quite easy to capture a very dramatic effect especially with strong directional light. I love the soft painterly effect this lens produce. I love its bokeh.
For now this is my favorite lens.
Fingers crossed for some good stuff ahead!
